Re-opening Monday 10th August 2020

The Wheelchair Users’ Group are delighted to announce the Shopmobility Service will now resume on an appointment only system with new procedures that will ensure the absolute safety of our clients and volunteers. Our opening hours will be Monday - Saturday 10am to 3pm to see the list of our new operating procedures please visit www.wheelchairusers.org.uk

NEW PROCEDURES

  • Appointment only service to ensure the safety of our clients and volunteer staff
  • ALL CLIENTS TO BOOK IN ADVANCE
  • Telephone 01303 226500
  • Quote your name/membership number and when you require your scooter
  • Office door locked
  • Please wait in the signed area outside to be served
  • Maintain Social distancing
  • Be patience
  • Volunteer staff will guide you through the process and issue your mobility scooter
  • Hand sanitiser will be available for all customers
  • No toilet facilities
  • Please, if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 stay at home
  • If you are feeling unwell your immune system will be weaker than usual protect yourself and stay at home.

The Wheelchair Users Group is a Registered charity formed in 1992 by wheelchair users. The Group is an independent not-for-profit charitable organisation; all the services we provide are funded from advertising revenue, sponsorship, fund raising activities, membership fees, small grants from local councils and by donations from members and supporters.

The mission of the Wheelchair Users Group is:

To Empower and Enable Wheelchair Users to lead full and active lives by helping them obtain the right mobility equipment from both the statutory and private sector

Kent and Medway Wheelchair Service provided by Millbrook Healthcare

From 1 April, 2017, Kent and Medway Wheelchair service is provided by Millbrook Healthcare.
