Could you help?
One of our long-serving volunteers is retiring so we are seeking New volunteers at Folkestone Shopmobility.
Hours: 10-3 (We are open every day except Sundays and Bank Holidays) Duties: Meeting cheery members of the public, issuing them with a scooter or wheelchair, keeping a record of this and taking their fees at the end of the day Also cleaning scooters, helping with enquiries, taking messages and bookings, selling a few disability-related items
Must be: reliable, honest, punctual, cheerful, patient
Able enough to move equipment and interested in people with disabilities Enquiries from disabled people particularly welcome
We Offer Comprehensive training, full membership, travel expenses, good cheer and hilarity
NB We would not expect more than one day a week!

The Wheelchair Users Group is a Registered charity formed in 1992 by
wheelchair users. The Group is an independent not-for-profit
charitable organisation; all the services we provide are funded from
advertising revenue, sponsorship, fund raising activities, membership
fees, small grants from local councils and by donations from members
The mission of the Wheelchair Users Group is:
Empower and Enable Wheelchair Users to lead full and active lives by
helping them obtain the right mobility equipment from both the
statutory and private sector”.

Kent and Medway Wheelchair Service provided by Millbrook Healthcare
From 1 April, 2017, Kent and Medway Wheelchair service is provided by Millbrook Healthcare.
